Groundwater rises again in 2021

Groundwater Country Music Festival | November 2020

As the days get longer and the Gold Coast dives into another iconic summer, one of Australia’s fastest growing country music festivals is set to return to the streets, parks, and bars throughout Broadbeach… Only this time —turning up the heat!

Groundwater Country Music Festival was postponed in 2020 due to COVID restrictions, and thanks to the hard work and determination of all Australians, Major Events Gold Coast has announced that Groundwater will be back in 2021 with a revised date, scheduled for 12-14 November.

Yes, you heard that right. The move will enhance everything the festival has to offer, showcasing the best of the Gold Coast as well as doing what it does best, bringing Country music to Australia’s favourite playground.

So put on your daisy dukes, pack some sunscreen, and prepare for a spectacular coastal getaway starring your favourite country music artists, because the sunshine and beautiful ocean won’t be missing out on this one.

“The Gold Coast has so much to offer to our festival fans. So, for 2021 we made the decision to move Groundwater to November allowing us to make the most of the sun, surf and sand that sits on the festival’s doorstep.”

Says Festival Director, Mark Duckworth.

“We’re excited to be giving Groundwater artists and fans something to look forward to and can’t wait to welcome everyone back to the Gold Coast for another great weekend, celebrating all things country music.”

About Groundwater Country Music Festival

One of Australia’s fastest growing music festivals, Groundwater Country Music Festival is presented by Major Events Gold Coast and is held throughout the streets, bars, parks, venues and restaurants of Broadbeach, kicking off in the morning and jamming til’ late.

The much-loved Groundwater Country Music Festival took out the top gong in the Festivals and Events category at the 2019 Australian Tourism Awards.

In 2019, Groundwater saw over 70,000 people attend the three-day event. The festival allowed patrons to enjoy over 130 hours of entertainment in stunning locations throughout Broadbeach.  Does it get any better than that? The event is non-ticketed– basically, it’s FREE!
