Inject some culture into your long weekend festivities and check out the designated hub at Burleigh Heads – 95% of the programming within the hub is free! Make sure to check out highlights such as dance performance Tectonic, flaming spectacle Pyrophone Juggernaut or kick back at Bleach*’s very own beach bar, the Bleach* Club, with some live tunes.
Once you’ve satisfied your culture fix, settle in for some fish and chips on iconic Burleigh Hill.
It wouldn’t be Easter without some overindulgence, right? Start your morning on the right foot and sink your teeth into some sweet treats. Pick up a vegan masterpiece from Flour of Life Bakery, one of the famous twice baked croissants from Bam Bam Bakehouse, a decadent donut from The Pastry Emporium or a classic hot cross bun fresh from the oven at Paddock Bakery – the options are endless.
Lucky for us Gold Coasters the weather is mild in autumn, allowing us to squeeze in a few more ocean dips before the temperature drops. Strap on some swimmers and saviour the final moments of the warm weather with some sun and sand this Easter weekend.
Walk off your chocolate-induced coma and mosey through the beachfront markets at Broadbeach. Browse through locally produced goods and treat yourself with a trinket or two.
After you’ve finished perusing the stalls, catch the G:Link north to the Broadwater Parklands for a mecca of Easter festivities.
