BSKT Presents: Halfway to Nowhere

Join us for the first in our Indie Movie Night and Dinner series. Enjoy canapés and drinks while watching indie movies on our outdoor screen.

Our first film is a very special one. Halfway to Nowhere documents Tim Caraco’s adventure as he traverses rugged Tasmania on two wheels. 20% of ticket sales will be donated to the family foundation of the late Tim Caraco.

Tim was the talented director behind Halfway To Nowhere before he was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident. Proceeds from the night will be used towards publishing the Halfway to Nowhere book that Tim had already compiled as well as a tribute sequel film, Halfway to Nowhere New Zealand.

ABOUT THE FILM

Halfway to Nowhere is the story of Tim Caraco’s motorcycle expedition around Tasmania. After travelling across the world, Tim realised he hadn’t even traversed his own backyard. Tasmania, known for its vast, rugged wilderness and volatile weather, was the perfect place.

Tim wanted to capture two-wheeled machines in an environment void of modern objects. His first venture into Van Diemen’s Land started with a bang and ended with a cold, wet whimper.
