Gold Coast Kokoda Challenge
2019 marks the 15th year of The 96km Gold Coast Kokoda Challenge.
Make this the year that you really challenge yourself. The 96km Gold Coast Kokoda Challenge is referred to as the toughest team endurance event in Australia.
WHY? Consisting of 96km winding tracks, 5000m of vertical elevation to climb (and descend), ticking off 13 checkpoints all within 39 hours to complete.
The Values of Kokoda surely ring true of Courage, Endurance, Mateship and Sacrifice.
It’s time to prove to yourself that you can go above and beyond what you think your limits are and do something truly extraordinary.
Not only do you Challenge yourself you also contribute to the local Kokoda Challenge Youth Program – Changing the Lives of Local Aussie Youth!
Teams will need to pay a registration fee of $480.00 to enter The Kokoda Challenge. In addition to this, a minimum amount ($1600) of fundraising is required to compete in the event. This fundraising is crucial to our charity and the youth programs we facilitate.
The minimum age to participate in The 96km Kokoda Challenge is turning 15 in the year of the event (although you must be accompanied by an adult if you are under 18).
You will need a Support Crew that can be there for you at 4 checkpoints to give you food, changes of clothes, medical attention and much needed encouragement!
