World Squash Federation – Double’s Championships
The World Doubles Championships has been held five times, 1997 (Hong Kong), 2004 (Chennai, India), 2006 (Melbourne, Australia), 2016 (Darwin, Australia), 2017 (Manchester, England).
In 2019, the World Doubles Championships will be hosted by Squash Australia and comprise of the following events; Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles.
The event provides plenty of opportunities for medals, often used as preparation ahead of the Commonwealth Games and provides a great level of exposure for the sport. The event is a kay AIS benchmark event for Australia with an expectation of four medals.
