Gold Coast Coworking Spaces

July 2015

For a city whose backbone is built on entrepreneurship, it’s not surprising to see a growth in co-working spaces on the Gold Coast, along with an increasing number of start-ups that are making use of these spaces.

The basic principal of co-working spaces has been tracked back hundreds of years to artist and writer collective communities who came together in a single location to master their art.

In 2005, Brad Neuberg coined the term ‘coworking space’ when he established the first recognised coworking site in San Francisco – Hat Factory.

Today, we’re seeing co-working spaces pop up in major cities all over the world as places where professionals can come together, collaborate and share ideas and knowledge, or simply where people can work in a shared physical office.

Here are some of the coworking spaces that have established a presence on the Gold Coast:

Barefoot Business Builders is the first boutique COmmUNITY coworkspace on the south side of the Gold Coast, situated in the heart of Palm Beach. This open planned space was created for entrepreneurs who want balance in their lives. They offer value pack day passes so that you can have the balance of working from home and within a COmmUNITY space. With a passion for connecting people offline and in-person they also offer regular meetups, this is not just a coworking space – it’s a COmmUNITY to help you thrive.
