It’s big

Located on the eastern coastline of Australia, you can find the one of the biggest boat building regions in the southern hemisphere – the Gold Coast. It is a city that offers:

  • 10 commercial marinas
  • 57 kilometres of pristine coastline
  • over 260 kilometres of navigable waterways
  • over 40,000 local registered water crafts and
  • more than 40 beaches.

Superyacht destination

The Gold Coast offers a one stop shop for superyacht berthing, maintenance, services and fit out:

  • Over 125 Superyacht berths (including 1 Megayacht berth)
  • Up to 65m length overall (LOA) unpiloted access to marine precincts
  • Ability to accommodate oversize vessels up to 160 metres in length
  • Provides connections to the Gold Coast international airport
  • Permanent customs clearance port.

High demand

Spanning 250-hectares, the Gold Coast Marine Precinct is the heart of the Australia’s marine industry and builds up to 80% of Australia’s boats. It is home to international brands and manufacturers such as Riviera, Telwater and Maritimo.

Demand is so high for quality boat manufacturing that Riviera has taken matters into their own hands and partnered with one of Australia’s top maritime training providers, TAFE Queensland. Together they now train over 74 marine apprentices out of the Riviera headquarters.

Premium Marinas

The Gold Coast Marine Precinct also hosts some of Australia’s most prestigious boatyards such as the highly awarded Gold Coast City Marina and continued development and innovation from The Boat Works. Within these two marinas alone, you will find:

  • Over 150 on-site marine businesses and over 1800 highly skilled marine contractors
  • Up to 330 tonne capacity lifts and up to 400amp powered berths
  • A multitude of accessory manufacturers and expansive hardstands
  • More than 50,000 vessels maintained, repaired and built
  • Deep water access and marina berthing up to 75m
  • Enclosed superyacht sheds up to 50m
  • Captains lounges and crew recreational zones

If that’s not enough, the Gold Coast also offers eight other commercial marinas to choose from. These include:
