September school holidays at Robina Town Centre

With school holidays just around the corner, Robina Town Centre has plenty of inspired activities lined up to keep the kids busy while parents sit back, relax and take a break… unless they used to be Hula Hoop champions or think they can smash a smoothie using pedal power on a bike, that is!

Robina Town Centre is setting the challenge bar high, and parents are welcome to join in to show the kids how it’s done, or simply let them explore the range of fun activities designed to appease makers, bakers and groovy hip shakers at Robina Town Centre these school holidays.

Who doesn’t love Trolls or ice-cream?
The crew at TGI Fridays has combined both to offer kids the chance to unleash their inner dessert-making skills at a cute trolls themed ice-cream workshop this September.

For just $10 each, kids can enjoy a 30 minute session where they’ll choose from a range of magically-inspired toppings, including fairy floss (troll hair) and sprinkles (warts) to design their own ice-cream creation. And the best bit? They can gobble the Troll up after they’ve finished AND each child will receive their very own keepsake apron, too!

Choose from two sessions daily at 10.30am or 11.15am from 21st – 25th September. Bookings are essential. Details here.

Get Fizzy with it
The ever-popular DIY bath bomb making workshops are back at Lush Robina. Kids can get hands-on making their very own bath bomb using the same ingredients that Lush use to make their secret recipe range. This is good, clean fun at its finest, with ethically sourced ingredients such as coloured sea salt, petals and even plastic-free glitter to enhance the fizzy delights. Plus, each child will receive a free take home apron.

Cost is $15 per child and is suitable for kids aged 6 years and older. Sessions will be held daily at 9am, 11am & 1pm from 28th September – 2nd October. Bookings are essential.

On your bike
If you struggle to motivate the kids to exercise regularly and eat more fruit, Boost Juice might have the answer with the Boost Juice Smoothie Bike Challenge. Kids can hop onboard to pedal their way to the perfect smoothie; engaging both effort to exercise and a fitting reward after of a delicious, nutritious Boost Juice smoothie. Kids of all ages will enjoy this one (parents can have a spin too). Cost is $5 per person and it’s suitable for participants aged 6 years and above.

The hips don’t lie
Little hipsters will love the chance to get their Hula Hoop on alongside the Rebel Sports Team on The Promenade from 21st – 23rd September at 10.30am, 11am, 11.30am and 12pm. Parents are welcome to step in for a spin too, oscillating their way right back to the good old days. Cost is $5 per child and includes a Hula Hoop to take home.

The Dinosaurs are coming…
Rumour has it that some prehistoric predators are stomping their way into Robina Town Centre this December. For a chance to be one of the first to see them when they thunder in, keep an eye on Robina’s Facebook page for details on how you can win a family pass to experience Jurassic Creatures for yourself.

Don’t forget to Scrub Up this September to help local kids in hospital
Robina Town Centre has joined forces with the Gold Coast Hospital Foundation’s annual fundraising campaign, Scrub Up September, to help raise much-needed funds to support local sick kids of all ages with life threatening illnesses in hospital.

Make a $2 donation to receive a token from volunteers outside the 7-metre ‘Wall Of Wishes’ (near Sephora) between 11am and 2pm daily or purchase tokens from participating Robina Town Centre retailers. Write your message of encouragement for sick kids and the healthcare workers who work tirelessly to care for them and place it on the wall. It means so very much and money raised will help fund vital medical equipment, world-class research and interactive play and sensory areas in local hospitals. For more information click here.
